How long does video production take?
This will very much depend on the scope of the project. Your dedicated account manager will be able to give you a rough time frame on your initial meeting, and once a brief has been taken a more detailed breakdown can be supplied.
What type of videos do you produce?
The type of work we produce varies hugely depending on the project and brand we’re working with. Examples include: promotional video, corporate video, training and explainer video, presentations, storytelling etc. This can involve film, using stock footage, motion graphics, animation and a variety of special effects such as parallax.
How creative are your ideas?
We’re a creative and design led agency. Creativity is at the centre of everything we do. Here's what one of our clients had to say about us: “Working with Tann Westlake is an utter shot of creative fresh air. From discussions around your brief, the genius interpretation and work behind the project, the remarkable customer service given and finally the delivery of an incredible end product, it’s been an utter joy.” The Body Shop Foundation
How much does video production cost?
This is dependent on the scope of the project. We take a brief from you and determine in hours how long it will take to achieve it. Get in touch for more information.
What industries does Tann Westlake specialise in?
We don’t, our skills can be applied to any industry, irrespective of it’s nature.
Do your videos get results?
Yes. The explosion of mobile browsing and video consumption has forced brands to think outside the box in order to engage their audiences. Our in-house creative team specialise in delivering highly targeted messages to customers and stakeholders for maximum viewing engagement.
How much do I need to be involved in the production of the video?
Every client is unique. The initial brief will allow us to gauge what involvement is required for us to hit your brief. You may want us to have free reign over creativity and production or you may have strict brand guidelines to adhere to and require a closer working relationship.
Who will I work with during the project?
You will be allocated a dedicated account manager to oversee your project from start to finish. You can contact them at any time during business hours for a progress update. If your involvement in the project is high then you may also work alongside a project manager and other, creative team members depending on the nature of your project.
Do you provide video revisions over time?
Yes we can go back to a project and make amends.
Talk me through your video design process.
Initially, you are invited in to meet your account manager where they will take a detailed brief from you. If you have a script you will be asked to supply this or we will take a brief from you so they we can prepare one for you. It’s essential for us to understand your target market, get to grips with your product and/or services and understand where you fit in the market and what your objectives are. Using your script and brief as a guide, your designated Art Director will carry out further research looking at things like industry trends, your colours, styles, fonts and typography and consider the key messages you need to get across. This research is used to develop initial concepts and a storyboard evolves, firstly as a sketch and then as a pdf document. This is sent to you and you will meet with your account manager to review it. The video is then developed. If required you will be sent a first render and then based on your response we make improvements to ensure that we hit the brief perfectly. The final render is saved and sent to you by email.
How are you going to ensure that my message is communicated clearly?
A clearly communicated message stems from a clear and concise brief and effective market research. Your account manager will ask you a variety of questions in order to glean enough information to feed through to either a Video Copywriter or Art Director. They will then carry out research to understand your target market, get to grips with your product and/or services and understand where you fit in the market and what your objectives are. They will also gather an insight into industry trends, your colours, styles, fonts and typography and consider the key messages you need to get across. This generates a clear focus for your video and the style your audience will best relate to.
What is the policy of your company with respect to rights of footage?
When you provide approval of your quote to proceed you will sign an agreement which sets out the ownership of the Intellectual Property (IP) rights. Effectively you will take ownership from us of the IP rights.
