
In the beginning
Art Director Simon decides to sell everything he owns to start a creative agency. Tann Westlake is born in Simon’s home office and he becomes the proud owner of an £800 Fiat Punto (he still thinks this was the best car he ever owned).
Getting going!
After plenty of time sitting around and drinking copious amounts of tea, the phone starts to ring with enquiries. We begin to pick up a few small clients and some exciting creative projects.

Putting down some roots
Tann Westlake leaves home and finally moves into a proper, grown-up office in Rustington, West Sussex. A small space, but an exciting step as we start to win more and more clients, including some blue chip companies.
Things start to get fun
We’re really picking up steam now. We recruit an art director, web developer and an account manager – instantly making Christmas parties a lot more interesting. We win even more new clients, including our first big account with Japanese entertainment giant Namco Bandai.

It's all about the sofas
After pitching against five other agencies, we win our biggest client to date, helping change the trajectory of the agency. With more people joining the team we need to move offices again. We all get really excited about the prospect of having sofas in the corner of this one.
We add more 'body' to our client list
It’s been another big year for the agency. We start to build our digital marketing team and land The Body Shop as a client. Sales this year grow by more than 70% again.

Google loves us
Tann Westlake becomes a Certified Google Partner in 2015 – an impressive accolade. We grow by over 50% in billings and revenue again, and now boast a ten-strong team of talented designers, developers and marketeers.

Hello South Bank!
After winning more and more London-based clients it’s time to put down some roots in town. So we open a new office on the South Bank – with an unlimited supply of tea, coffee and beer on tap of course.
We launch a banking 'revolution'
We love causing a bit of a stir, so we’re proud to be a part of a banking revolution – launching the ground-breaking Open Banking website. (Read what the BBC said about the launch.)

On the move again
With space getting a little tight it’s time to move again. We get the keys to our new 2,000 sq. ft. home on the sunny south coast – Everyone gets a parking space and room to do cartwheels around the office.

A decade of digital
Happy 10th birthday to us! So many things have changed in the digital world since 2009, but our core values and determination remain the same. Here’s to the next 10 years!

Cheesecake Anyone?
As we continue to build our social media team, in November 2020 we won our tastiest social media client so far, Rhokett Desserts. We injected a new lease of life into their accounts, refreshing their strategy to increase their following and brand awareness.

Kicking Off With Canon
Starting 2021 as we mean to go on, we win Canon Medical UK as a client, providing them with a sleek new website and app for its e-learning platform as well as developing their email campaigns.

Google Still Loves Us
This year Google changed the criteria for its Google Partner badge, making it tougher to achieve. Thanks to our in-house Google Certified Experts, we automatically qualified for the new partner badge prior to the deadline, due to increased campaign spend and success.
